Spanning more than 350 miles across seven counties, the Lake Michigan Water Trail in Northwest Michigan boasts access to the world famous Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, seven state parks, dozens of local parks, as well as beaches and natural areas to explore. The local landscape contains a unique mix of natural, rural and maritime elements including dunes, vineyards, orchards, and lighthouses between the coastal cities and villages along the shoreline.
