The rustic shores of the eastern end of Lake Superior has wide stretched of publicly owned land provide many landing points and a variety of paddling trips. The largest of the Great Lakes can be more dangerous than other routes, sudden storms, rip tides, and freighter traffic can all demand greater paddling skills and increased awareness.
