County park open May 1 to Oct 15. While there is river access inside the park many folks access at the bridge just outside of the park (cooperative private owner so please utilize respectfully)  which is not subject to the seasonal hours of the park and a shorter carry to the water. This stretch of the Coldwater River can be very challenging with current and deadfall, may not be suitable for weaker/less experienced paddlers. Start of the Greater Union City Water Way. While this stretch to the JP Palmer Launch in Union City is popular with local paddlers it is not "maintained" by any livery service. 6/23/2016--been a large push to removed deadfall from here to Union City but there is still some. This stretch remains for the adventurous and experienced.

Parking Lot, On Road Shoulder parking is available.

Public restrooms are available (Flush Toilet).

Carry-In boat access.

Length of access is more than 50 yards.

Inside the park it is a long carry.  Just outside the park to the west there is close access near the bridge with road shoulder parking nearby. That spot is private property but the owner is a cooperative paddler. Please use with respect and do not trespass into the woods.
