Located between Lake Michigan and Pere Marquette Lake, Buttersville Park has perhaps the greatest view of all the parks. As you enter the shaded park off S. Lakeshore Drive, you'll find a picnic area with grills, playground, restrooms, and a pavilion. Don't be surprised to see numerous deer in Buttersville--they seem to feel quite at home here and are comfortable with visitors.

Further into the park, a wooden seating area offers a breathtaking view of the Lake Michigan shoreline, including the North Breakwater Lighthouse in the distance. Climb the steps down to the expansive beach, perfect for swimming and sunning. It's a romantic spot to view the sunset, with more privacy guaranteed during the spring and autumn months.
