Pere Marquette is a popular Lake Michigan beach. It is bordered on the north by the Muskegon Navigational Channel and lighthouse. The popular "dog beach" is at the far south end of the Park. A 200′ accessible walkway leads from the parking lot, beach house and restrooms to the shoreline. Facilities include a snack bar, play apparatus areas, restrooms, picnic area, grills, sand volleyball courts, public beach and paved, accessible walkway. The Lakeshore Trail bike path is accessible from the Park and many maritime attractions, a museum and restaurants are within walking distance. Public transportation is available.
