This is a popular, rural area access site on the Muskegon River. It is undeveloped, but offers easy access to and from the river and an unimproved parking area. The area along the river is wooded and scenic.

The Holton Duck Lake Road access site is one of several that is used during the annual Muskegon River Voyage of Discovery paddling trip from Houghton Lake to Muskegon Lake. It is also a favorite access site among locals who wish to experience nature along the lower Muskegon River.
