A beautiful and accessible modern park at the very beginning of the inland waterway. Although Spring Lake is only 1/3 of mile to Lake Michigan, all the water from this point flows through the inland waterway to Lake Huron. Access to both the North Western State Trail and the Little Traverse Wheelway non-motorized trails. Northern terminus of the Inland Waterway.
Parking Lot parking is available.
Public restrooms are available (Flush Toilet).
Alternate boat access.
Length of access is less than 50 yards.
Not a good access point. If you take the small path past the interpretive panel about the inland waterway, you can access both Spring Lake and the connecting waterway to Mud Lake. Connecting river may not be navigable; suggest only using it in spring when water levels are higher.
The sign for this site is along the road (visible from road).
A nearby local outfitter provides just rentals including transport of boat.
